Holistic Purity partnership with I Am Sarah Edwards and Some Great People

Lana was looking to partner with an influencer in Minneapolis, her home town, and was researching the internet. She came across an article in Artful Living magazine, listing the most influential bloggers in MN. She emailed all of them, but only got one reply.

It was Sarah Edwards. Lana always believed that whatever happens, happens for the best, and so she scheduled a meeting. Going in, she didn’t know what to expect, but was very excited about the future opportunities and a partnership. Turned out, Sarah was just as curious and excited to work together. And so it began. Kayla Donohue started working on Holistic Purity’s social media and our first event was at Canopy by Hilton Minneapolis Mill District. It was scheduled on the same day as 2020 Chinese New Year and it was called Namaste the Same. This event was organized for the community, to come together and enjoy a yoga session by MN Power Yoga, followed by a breathing exercise by Erika Voeller and an intention setting session.  In other words it was for the mind, body, and soul. Lana got a chance to speak before the class and share her CBD story. During that whole time, Holistic Purity had a table with CBD products for sale and Lana was happy to share her knowledge of CBD and how it can make a positive impact on your everyday life. Bloody Mary bar was serviced by Prairie Organic Spirits and catering was done by Umbra Minneapolis.

“Overall, the event was a huge success.”

People who came, were super excited to try Holistic Purity CBD Soft Gels and CBD Balm samples and learn about the benefits of using CBD as part of their wellness journey. Holistic Purity met the community. At that point, Lana did not understand what exactly was Sarah talking about when she kept saying “the community”, “people from the community”. Later it would all come together, but at that moment it was still new and exciting.

A couple of weeks later, I am Sarah Edwards hosted another interesting event. This time it was a Shop Sarah’s Closet & Friends and the location was at the Luther Jaguar Land Rover Minneapolis. Holistic Purity was one of the lucky 19 local brands at that shopping extravaganza! Although, the weather had different plans (crazy winter storm with tons of snow), the event turned out to be lots of fun. It was so amazing to meet such great people like Jahna Peloquin and to be welcomed into this community of amazing people.

The following weekend, there was another huge event happening at the Mall of America. It was hosted by HandsOn Twin Cities as a Galentine’s Day fun at lululemon. This event brought ladies together to create hygiene kits for women in need. When you do good you feel good! Holistic Purity was honored to be a part of such an amazing event. Drinks, music, good vibes and a good cause. The journey into the “community” continued as more familiar faces started to emerge. It was also interesting to see that kindness was the underlying theme in everything that Sarah did. Every event was filled with laughter, joy and love. Women supported each other and were happy to help. Once again, Holistic Purity received a warm welcome and spread the joy of education about CBD.

It was all happening so quickly. One event after another and Holistic Purity was just getting used to the already established routine. Lana knew that there was another event coming up in March at the Rosedale Mall. It was discussed that Sarah’s clients would be featured at the ShareSpace for a couple of days.Little did we know! During all this time, I am Sarah Edwards was planning a re-branding.But it wasn’t just another boring re-branding, it was an epic event. I am Sarah Edwards was hired by Rosedale Mall to promote their tremendous updates and renovations. Forbes magazine wrote an article on the subject of the future of malls and mentioned ShareSpace. All of the sudden, Holistic Purity found themselves in this tornado of publicity and excitement. But it was still unclear what was going on.

Next came an article in the Star Tribune, a major MN newspaper, describing what was happening in more details. Lana was ecstatic to be a part of this major affair.

The underlying phenomenon of this major tornado of news, was a transformation of I am Sarah Edwards into Some Great People. When Sarah started her marketing business a couple of years ago, it was all about her and how she could help brands. But as time went by, Sarah’s talent got recognized by many more clients and the interest to work together grew. She eventually evolved as well, from a one woman show to an agency of 5 talented females. Each one brought something new to the table and it was time to recognize that. So, Some Great People was born.

The press loved it. Local news, news papers, magazines, radio were all covering this event. It was something so new and unheard of. When the doors just opened on the first day, people were just pouring in, so curious about the hype. Clothes, accessories, VR, a ball pit, free coffee and snacks and of course Holistic Purity CBD. Lana met such amazing women/designers/business owners like Maxine Britt of Mx Apparel DesignLarissa Loden jewelry designer, Lisa of Queenie & Pearl,  Rami of Ramadan Design, and many more. The weekend flew by in an instant, filled with laughter, excitement and support. Yes, support. Many people came in asking for Sarah, wanting to congratulate her on the occasion.

And then the panel discussions began. Each evening had a different topic and guest speakers. Our highlight was “Social Media gives me Anxiety”. Lana took a couple of minutes to speak before the panel, about her experience with anxiety and her CBD journey. Doug Marshall led the panel discussion on the importance of self-care and decompression. Falen Gotler from 101.3 KDWB contributed to the discussion of stress and the importance of family. Coincidentally, we had a raffle going on on Instagram and with everything going on, there was no time to deliver 500mg MCT+Mint CBD Oil to the winner. Imagine the surprise, when Lana randomly met Hannah, our winner, at the event.

 “It was just too funny.”

We all had so much fun, drinking, laughing, talking and just enjoying everything that was happening. Each night was so different and exciting. It was then and there, when Lana realized what “the community” was all about. It was a group of brilliant people of all walks of life. All so different but very talented and professional. Fashion designers, photographers, influencers, marketers, models, brand experts….all of these people were FRIENDS of Sarah. There was so much love and support for each other, and a sense of togetherness. AMAZING!!!

We still had 3 more nights to go, but our plans got changed. The Covid-19 pandemic started spreading through the United States and Sarah decided to close the ShareSpace for the safety of everyone. It was heartbreaking to see it all end so abruptly. Holistic Purity still had a very important event scheduled with Angie Okon @amarieokon,  the CEO of @okonfitness, for a workout class, called Fit-ish. But that never happened…

It took Some Great People a whole minute to re-group, and re-strategize. As soon as voluntary stay at home order went into effect, Sarah shared a post, encouraging the community to support local businesses and conduct acts of kindness. It was like a ray of sunshine among the dark clouds of uncertainty. Instead of panicking, all of the sudden it was clear what to do. Just stay home and try to do what you can to support one another. There is never a dull moment when you work with Sarah Edwards and Some Great People.
