Endometriosis is a disease of menstruation
It occurs when tissue similar to the lining of the uterus, or endometrium, migrates outside of the womb, where the tissue should not be. The result is inflammation, as the tissue responds to the monthly fluctuations of a woman’s menstrual cycle. Endometriosis can impact all aspects of life—school, careers, finances, relationships, and overall well being. An estimated 200 million women worldwide are impacted by this disease, and an estimated 1 out of 10 women suffer in the United States, however many remain undiagnosed. Endometriosis affects women equally across all racial/ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. But wait, could CBD become the new go to remedy for those who suffer?
